Sounds of Intent Launch: The SAGE Gateshead

Sounds of Intent Launch
Monday 15th October
Hall Two, The Sage Gateshead, 10.30am – 4.30pm

Sounds of Intent is a new, freely available, easy-to-use software package that enables teachers, teaching assistants, therapists and parents, who work with or care for those with PMLD, SLD or MLD who may be on the autism spectrum, to:

- assess children and young people's level of musical development

- record and monitor attainment and progress

- download musical materials and ideas for activities

- share thinking on a forum

This informative launch event is a great opportunity to learn more about the framework, and to meet other practitioners and music leaders from the region. Visit the Sounds of Intent website for more details about the framework itself, and about the research project that has led to it's development.

The event will be of particular interest to music leaders interested in working with children with special education needs (SEN), staff in schools, and SEN specialists.
